Salsa Dancing

When I decided to lose my weight and change my life physically, I also wanted to work on other areas of my life. So when my trainer Christine Tusa asked me if I was interested in joining her at a salsa dance class my first thought was YEAH RIGHT! But then I started to think if it was something I would never do before this then maybe I need to give it a shot, and let me tell you I am so happy that I did. Salsa class is a great cardio workout, a great way to meet new people, and hopefully with a little practice I can  show off my dance moves sometime! I go to a salsa class on Mondays at Galaxy Dance Studios. Check them out if you want to learn how to boogie.

My hairdresser has been telling me about the salsa lessons he is taking and he loves it! It sounds like lots of fun; good for you! :)

Way to go! Inspiring, even :)
Keep up the good work! I lost 80lbs a few years ago. It took about a year to do it, but I would have done better if I had exercised like you are doing now....and Salsa(!) how cool is that?! Ya know the ladies like a good dancer ;)
It's so hard to get started with healthy habits and keep comitted! So be proud of yourself, ENJOY and celebrate the little milestones.
Keep up the good work! Diana

Experts say that dancing salsa can burn up to 10 calories a minute, without the negative side effects of high impact exercises such as running. You can learn salsa dancing in the privacy of your home or in a studio, with or without a partner and it’s a fitness program that can easily be integrated into your social life. By using salsa dancing to get fit, you will not only look great, but you’ll have no excuse not to get out more and improve your social life.
